Earlier this week, we went to a local christmas tree farm to cut down our own tree! The past few years we have been in Germany, so we haven’t had a real tree. This year, we were excited! Immediately when we get out there, we snap a few shots (on our cell phones) and BOTH of our phones died! What are the chances! We didn’t bring a camera because we were in a rush to get there before it got dark and they closed. I couldn’t go one more night without a tree. So, sorry for the bad picture quality!
We searched for awhile because we can never decide on anything. We are those people who will take forever to decide where to eat for dinner. Neither of us care, but I think we both don’t want to be the one to make the decision, so we try to be nice and say, “I realllllly don’t care, you choose!” And clearly this leads to a decision taking longer than necessary! Of course we did this exact same thing with the trees because we could not find the perfect tree. After running around searching before it got too dark to see, we landed on a blue ice tree! They are so cool looking and looked the “realest” out of the different types of trees if that makes sense. We strapped it to the top of our car and headed home!
When we got home, all the dogs wanted to do were snuggle in the pillows on the couch or snuggle on me of course. Tony put the lights up and that was that! We haven’t gotten around to hanging the ornaments yet, because we have been so busy. But this week, I promise!
What are your traditions for the holidays? I’d love to hear!
