I don’t know about you guys, but Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Food, family, friends, football, parade. What’s not to love?
I feel like I was counting down for this day months in advance haha. I religiously watched The Chew so I could catch all of their Thanksgiving episodes. My mom was coming into town, Tony had off of work, and it was Jack’s first Thanksgiving, so we were all so excited! I always want to wake up first thing in the morning so I have an entire day to enjoy. I’m the same on Christmas morning. I would always wake up super early because I couldn’t wait to open presents. SO fun! But now I’m getting off topic..
Anyway, we spent Thanksgiving in our little apartment, cooking up a storm. Bacon wrapped asparagus, chips and dip, bruschetta, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cinnamon-sugar glazed carrots, creamed corn, rolls, cranberry sauce, Kentucky derby pie and Kate Hudson’s Greatest Hits pie. YUM! Overkill? Probably. Worth it? YUP.
Jack also saw Santa for the first time at the Parade! I always remembered getting so excited, waiting to see the real Santa at the end of the parade because, like my mom said, all of the other ones in the stores were his helpers. I can’t wait for Jack to be excited about all of these things!
I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season. Happy Holidays friends!
